One of the goals of this brand, BeautyTraducida is to help small beauty businesses grow through strategic social media publicity. Yesterday I had the opportunity to participate in a workshop held by the group Latinas in Business called The Three Pillars of Female Leadership. The workshop looked to help  Latina women excel in their careers or as entrepreneurs. It was well worth sacrificing a Saturday to network and learn something new.

We spent the majority of the day learning new strategies to better present ourselves in public and communicate what sets our brand value apart from the competition. My favorite part of the day was getting to meet the creator of the brand Lumesh Cosmetics, Lu Camarena Meshulam. She creates makeup that is 100% natural,  free of the toxins and chemicals that far too often show up in the ingredients of our favorite makeup products.

Although she is planning to expand her line to other products like bronzer and mascara, she currently sells a wide variety of lipsticks and glosses that adapt to any skin tone because of a component that self-adjusts to the perfect color for you.

It was an incredibly positive day because I learned new business practices that I plan to apply to BeautyTraducida, and I was able to introduce my brand to new contacts and possibly new clients.
